The Latin American Glaucoma Society — sLAG
The Latin American Glaucoma Society (sLAG) invites glaucoma subspecialists, ophthalmologists, fellows, residents, and researchers from Latin America and other regions to participate in the presentation of scientific papers during the XIII Latin American Glaucoma Congress sLAG 2026.
Participation Categories
1. Clinical and Surgical Videos.
2. Electronic Scientific Posters (E-Posters) featuring clinical cases or scientific research.
Important dates
Submission opening date: June 1, 2026
Submission deadline: July 15, 2026
Acceptance notification: July 30, 2026
Submissions received after the established deadline will not be accepted.
General guidelines
• All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not previously presented at international congresses.
• The presenting author must be registered for the Congress.
• Submissions may be presented in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.
• Each author may participate in multiple submissions or categories.
• All submissions must be uploaded exclusively through the official Congress digital platform.
• Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.
• All clinical material must comply with ethical standards and patient confidentiality regulations.
• Authors are fully responsible for the scientific and academic content presented.
Each submission must include:
• Participation category
• Full name of the primary author
• Institution
• Email address
• Country of origin
• Conflict of interest disclosure
• Research paper or clinical case
• References/Bibliography
1. Clinical and surgical videos
Technical Requirements

• Maximum length: 4 minutes

Format
• MP4 format preferred
• Minimum resolution: Full HD (1920 × 1080)
Mandatory Content
• Video title
• Authors’ names and institution
• Clear narration or subtitles
• Brief introduction
• Objective of the procedure
• Step-by-step description
• Results or conclusions
• Final credits
Recommendations for Videos
• Excellent image and audio quality
• Professional and smooth editing
• Avoid copyrighted music
• Maintain an academic and educational focus
• Clearly demonstrate surgical techniques and/or clinical findings
• Include clinical follow-up whenever possible
Video Submission
All video submissions must be uploaded through the official Congress digital platform using the required formats.
2. Electronic scientific posters (E-Posters)
Clinical cases and research papers related to glaucoma will be accepted.
General Requirements
Format
• PDF or PowerPoint file
• Maximum 10 slides
• Horizontal 16:9 format
Characteristics
• Predominantly visual presentation
• Clear clinical images and diagrams
• Moderate use of text
• Academic and easy-to-read design

E-Poster Submission
All E-Poster submissions must be uploaded through the official Congress digital platform using the required formats.
Scientific review process
All submissions will be reviewed by an evaluation committee composed of sLAG members. The review process will be anonymous and based on international academic standards.

• Visual clarity and design
The highest-scoring E-Posters may be invited for oral presentation during the Congress.
In the event of a tie, the sLAG Education Committee and Board of Directors will make the final decision.
Final considerations
Participation in this call implies full acceptance of the guidelines established by the sLAG Scientific Committee.
The organizing committee reserves the right to make technical or academic adjustments when necessary to ensure the scientific quality of the event.
All decisions made by the evaluation committee shall be final and non-appealable.
