Land-based Hotels in the Galápagos

Explore the islands

Visiting the Galápagos while staying on one of the islands is an excellent alternative to boat tours. It allows you to explore the inhabited islands and take day trips to nearby islands. It also offers the comfort of staying in a hotel, especially if you have limited time to embark on a cruise.

Below, we present a selection of accommodation options in Puerto Ayora, on Santa Cruz Island, which can be combined with a wide range of activities, adventures, experiences, and visits to nearby islands—allowing you to experience the Galápagos from a different perspective.

Hotel Finch Bay

A beachfront hotel in the Galápagos.

With architecture that mirrors the surrounding volcanic rocks and attractive wooden walkways that preserve the natural environment, this hotel creates a truly unique and authentic sense of place.

The Finch Bay Hotel enjoys a privileged location next to the only public beach in the town of Puerto Ayora, on the southern coast of Santa Cruz Island.

It offers an innovative, enriching, and surprise-filled experience, both on land and during visits to nearby islands or water-based activities.

Algunas habitaciones ofrecen vistas directas al océano desde la ventana y cuentan con balcón privado, ideales para disfrutar del paisaje y la tranquilidad del entorno natural.

Hotel Silberstein

A Great History. In the 20th Century

Hotel Silberstein Galapagos is not only a very beautiful hotel, but it also has a remarkable history. In the 20th century, the Angermeyer family arrived in the Galápagos Islands and built their charming, well-designed residence, surrounded by lush gardens.

Many years later, in 1993, the residence was purchased by a German couple, who renovated the property and named it “Hotel Silberstein Galapagos.”

Since then, the building has undergone continuous improvements, always preserving its historical essence.
