Departure from Quito along the Avenue of the Volcanoes, with views of Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui and the Ilinizas.
Lunch at Hacienda La Ciénega
One of Ecuador’s oldest colonial haciendas, with historic courtyards and beautiful gardens.
Guano
Traditional Andean town known for:
• Handwoven wool carpets
• Famous “cholas” sweet bread
• Artisans and woodcarvers
• Historic monastery and the Guano Mummy
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Abraspungo (breakfast included)
Day 2
Riobamba • Alausí • Tren Nariz del Diablo • Sicalpa • Balbanera • Riobamba
Transfer to Alausí, a heritage town surrounded by towering mountains.
Devil’s Nose Train

Visit to Sicalpa and Balbanera:

Return to Riobamba

Visit to the Convent of the Conceptas
A major religious heritage site featuring:

Return to Quito via La Ciénega.
