Mindo Tour

Mindo Valley

The Mindo valley, part of the Chocó Andino UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. With cloud forests, waterfalls, colorful birds, butterflies and lush river landscapes, Mindo is a natural paradise just two hours away from Quito.

This package includes lodging at El Monte Lodge, one of Mindo’s most iconic eco-lodges known for its sustainable architecture, organic meals and private nature trails. Activities are chosen by each traveler.

Day 1

Descent from the andes & arrival to mindo

  • Departure from Quito toward Mindo with scenic viewpoints.

  • Arrival at El Monte Lodge, welcome drink.

  • Free time or optional walk through private trails.

  • Optional dinner.

Day 2

Optional cloud forest activities

        Travelers may choose among:
 

  • Birdwatching

  • Visit to the Butterfly Garden

  • Waterfall route + Tarabita cable car

  • Tubing on the river

  • Chocolate tour

  • Orchid sanctuary

  • Guided hikes in primary forest

  • Hummingbird observation

  • Night wildlife tour

Day 3

Free morning & return to quito

  • Breakfast at the lodge.

  • Short walk or optional activity.

  • Check-out and return to Quito.
