Day 1
Quito • Cotopaxi • La ciénega • Guano • Riobamba
Departure from Quito along the Avenue of the Volcanoes, with views of Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui and the Ilinizas.
Lunch at Hacienda La Ciénega
One of Ecuador’s oldest colonial haciendas, with historic courtyards and beautiful gardens.
Guano
Traditional Andean town known for:
Handwoven wool carpets
Famous “cholas” sweet bread
Artisans and woodcarvers
Historic monastery and the Guano Mummy
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Abraspungo (breakfast included).

Riobamba • Conceptas •La Ciénega • Quito
Visit to the Convent of the Conceptas
A major religious heritage site featuring:
Sacred art museum
Historical cloisters
Centuries-old female monastic tradition
Lunch
Return to Quito via La Ciénega.
